Hey there!
We're the Sechler family and we're so glad you're here! From dreams of living the big city life or escaping to the wild west, we somehow landed here in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania and wouldn't have it any other way! We've built our home on our family's maple tree farm where we make maple syrup, grow flowers, and host educational events! We dream of living a big life in a small town and we hope to share a bit of it with you!

MEET THE Salt + Light FAMILY
Mallory
With a Bachelor's in Musical Theatre, Mallory dreamed of fleeing the small-town scene to live the New York City life, but as fate would have it, Joshua entered her life and God had other plans. She went on to get her Master's in Elementary Education and worked as a public school teacher for 9 years before "retiring" to become a full-time mama. In her new role as a mother, she discovered a deeply rooted desire to cultivate and care for all things, and so the dream of becoming a flower farmer was born. Mallory now works as the chief dreamer of Salt + Light Meadows and spends her days growing flowers, planning events, dreaming of the future, and writing educational resources for Salt + Light Schoolhouse. But her most important role is being a full-time mom to her sweet daughter, Audia. They love spending most of their days together at home and caring for the farm hand in hand. Mallory may have left behind the dreams of what she thought her life would become but she traded it all for the best dream possible. Living a big life in a small town with the people she cherishes the most.

Joshua
From a young age, Josh would dream of a life on his family's maple tree farm. The dream didn't always include growing flowers, but he always knew that no matter where life would take him, he wanted to end up back on his family's property. With a professional career in sales and finance, it only made sense for him to become the CFO of Salt + Light Meadows and the voice of reason when Mallory's dreams run wild. He is the resident tractor operator, bookkeeper, sales manager, and general hype-man on the farm and is always willing to do whatever is asked of him. He often says that everything he does is done for his girls and that is beyond evident in the daily sacrifices he makes to fulfill their wildest dreams. He is incredibly humbled by the opportunity to have returned home where his roots were first planted and is excited to see how far they continue to grow as a family of flower farmers.
Audia
Meet the "light" of Salt + Light Meadows as Audia lights up any space she enters with her radiant smile and energetic personality. She is literally sunshine in a bottle and that is evident from the moment you meet her! She is the true boss around the farm and is always excited to put on her boots and dig in the dirt. We call her our fancy farmer as she loves all things dresses and bows but isn't afraid to get dirty. When she isn't growing flowers, she's singing and dancing and captivating people with her infectious spirit! She may only be three but she sure is mighty and this farm couldn't run without her. She currently dreams of one day becoming a doctor and farming like cousin Bubba when she gets home. And we think those are some pretty awesome dreams to work towards!
